The New Community Service System for Persons with Brain Injuries: Implementing Hutchinson v. PatrickAs a result of the Settlement Agreement, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is creating a new community service system for persons with brain injuries. The system currently includes the two ABI waiver programs, a person-centered planning process, an incident management and client complaint procedure, provider policies and procedures, an expanded provider network, and a quality improvement process with multiple data collection requirements consistent with CMS' Quality Framework.
