On April 1, 2019, CPR joined a number of national disability organizations, led by the Judge David L. Bazleon Center for Mental Health Law and the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, to file a brief in the Texas v. US case. The brief asks the Court of Appeals to reverse the district court’s ruling declaring the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) unconstitutional. The district court’s decision would strip away significant gains that people with disabilities have made since the ACA’s passage. Learn more about the case and read about attacks on the ACA and Medicaid here.
